Health plan exec Matthew Malin to lead Medicare Advantage company’s Florida business operations
ORANGE, Calif. (August 6, 2018) – Alignment Healthcare, a population health-focused organization, has named Matthew Malin its new Florida market president. Malin will be responsible for Alignment’s overall market strategy and operations in Florida as well as the relationship with Alignment’s Medicare Advantage plan partner in the state.
For the past four years, Malin has served in a variety of roles at Alignment, most recently as vice president of experience management and on-demand personalized health care. Over the course of his career, Malin has used his expertise in strategic planning and network solutions to drive growth in the commercial, Medicare and Medicaid health markets.

Before joining Alignment, Malin was senior director, strategic partnerships and development for Florida Blue, an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association. Prior to Florida Blue, he was director of strategic initiatives for WellCare Health Plans. He has held several positions with various companies in the health care industry, including Accenture’s Consulting Practice and Kaiser Permanente.
Malin holds a master’s degree in public health and administration from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as a Bachelor of Science in biological science from Clemson University. He volunteers with the Hope Foundation of Bangladesh, acting as their director of international programs.
